Postdoctoral research

We are seeking to recruit highly motivated postdoctoral researchers. We will assist promising individuals with applications for funding, provide a dynamic, interactive working environment, and support career development toward independent status. Applicants should be credible candidates for fellowships from EMBO, or similar international or national programmes. Join the Halliday lab to study how environmental signals regulate plant growth. We are looking for highly motivated students who have a biological, mathematical or political science background.

Research Areas

Molecular signalling: Define the environmental signalling molecular mechanisms that regulate plant growth and development. (molecular-genetics, physiology)

Modelling: Build mathematical models that can predict molecular or physiological biological behaviour. (maths/physics)

Crop development for the future: Develop food crops that can withstand the climate change. (molecular-genetics, physiology)

Social Impact: Study the ethics and social implications of translating scientific advancements. (social/political science)
